When the dentist introduces himself as “Dr. Steve”, you can immediately relax as your initial fears of a stuffy medical office transform into feelings of relief and comfort. In addition to his exceptional skills as a dentist, patients enjoy his sense of humor and ability to communicate dental issues and information clearly and efficiently. It’s apparent to see how much passion he has for the dental field and his level of genuine concern for his patients.
He feels blessed to have a career that gives him the ability to transform smiles and change lives. And as a technology enthusiast, he enjoys all the dental “toys” he gets to “play” with every day at the office.
I’m most proud of:
Starting a practice from scratch. Although it was a stressful, time-consuming process, building Stensland Dental from the ground up has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
The best thing about working at Stensland Dental is:
My staff. I am honored work alongside the most talented, productive, reliable, motivated, and friendly women in Williamsburg!
My two most embarrassing career moments are:
- I stood and discussed an entire treatment plan to a patient in great length and detail with my zipper down. Do you think she took me seriously?
- When going through the post-operatory procedures with a patient after having a temporary crown placed, I told him not to chew on anything hard, like a “robust nut”. Not sure where “robust nut” came from, but it was the first thing that popped into my head for some reason.
