They will assist you with paperwork and answer any preliminary questions you may have. If you are scheduled for a routine cleaning, you will spend most of your time with one of our dental hygienists, Francine, Whitney, Kim, or Julia, who have a total of over 60 years experience in dentistry. Dental Hygienist, RDH

I have been a dental hygenist since 1995 and love what I do! I take pride in my work and enjoy educating our patients on improving their dental health. I am an avid exerciser, run regularly, and enjoy participating in tough mudders. I travel whenever I get a chance and spend most of my free time with my family.

Dental Hygienist

I have worked in the dental field for over 15 years, starting as Dental Assistant and later becoming a Dental Hygienist. The best part of my job is the relationships I build with my patients – focusing on patient comfort and providing exceptional care. I am a Williamsburg native and have been married to my husband, Wayne, for 15 years. We have 10-year-old triplets, Payton, Coen, and Mckenna. I feel honored to be a part of such an exceptional team at Stensland Dental!

Dental Hygienist

I have been a practicing dental hygienist since 1992 as a graduate of the VCU School of Dentistry. I have worked for the Virginia Health Department, The University of Virginia Hospital Dental Clinic, and was a clinical instructor at the VCU/MCV dental hygiene clinic. Now that my husband and I are settled in Williamsburg, I’m happy to call SDS home and enjoy working with a great group of true dental professionals. Everyday I am privileged to meet new people and hopefully make a difference in their lives. That’s what I love about dentistry – the patients! In my free time, I enjoy biking with my husband and two sweet kids!

Dental Hygienist

I am a native of Hampton Roads, Virginia. I graduated with honors from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001 where I obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. I began my dental hygiene career on the south side of Richmond, and in 2007 I moved to Williamsburg where I have continued serving patients for the past 10 years. I am certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. I am a music enthusiast and enjoy trips to the beach as often as possible!

Dental Assistant

I began working as a dental assistant in 1999. I moved from Connecticut to Hampton Roads 13 years ago. As a dental assistant, it’s truly rewarding to be a part of smile transformations – to see patients enter our office self-conscious, trying to hide their teeth – then finish treatment with big, beaming smiles. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, drinking piña coladas, and getting caught in the rain!

Dental Assistant

I have been a Dental Assistant since 1995. I enjoy spending time with my family that includes my boyfriend Craig and my two kids Emily and Jackson. We take every opportunity we can to sneak away to the beach! Working out is also becoming very important to me as well. I enjoy getting to know our SDS patients and helping to make them feel comfortable at our office.

Hygiene Assistant

I have been a hygiene/dental assistant since 2015. I am thrilled that I was recently accepted into the ODU dental hygiene program! I love going to the beach, snowboarding, hunting, and spending time with my 3 fur babies. Being a dental assistant allows me to have so many rewarding moments, but by far my favorite is being a part of giving someone back their smile.

Office Manager

I have been working in the dental field since 2002 and moved from Northern Virginia to Williamsburg four years ago. My co-workers are a pleasure to work with – what a great team! After having worked in a large group practice, I enjoy the smaller practice size of Stensland Dental. It allows me to build relationships with our patients, which enables me to really understand how to best help them. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, working out, live music and wine-tasting.

Front Desk Associate

After over 20 years working for an environmental lab as a Laboratory Manager and Organic Chemist, I am enjoying the relatively new challenge of being a Front Desk Associate at Stensland Dental. My husband, Kirk, and I have been married for 27 years and we have two sons, Ryan (22) and Zachary (14). Although I was born in Dayton, Ohio, I have lived in Williamsburg for the past 9 years and in Newport News 17 years before that – certainly long enough to consider myself a “local”! My free time is filled with exercise, watching my sons play lacrosse, appreciating wine, and going to the beach!

Front Desk Associate

I have had the privilege of providing customer service for over 10 years in various fields. However, this is the first time I have worked in a dental office. I must say, I love it! I am an outgoing person, so being able to interact and build rapport with our patients has been extremely rewarding. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to new places, seeing Broadway plays and visiting museums.

Front Desk Associate

I moved from Seattle in 2016 to be closer to family and my two beautiful grand babies. I previously owned a vitamin, nutrition, smoothie shop for 10 years, establishing long lasting positive relationships with customers. I also worked as an orthodontist assistant for 7 years and loved it! It was very rewarding seeing the transformation on patients’ teeth and the excitement that we were able to share with them. My passion has always been working with people in the customer service field. I like to hike, travel, workout, spend time with family, and live a healthy lifestyle. I also enjoy a good movie or just sitting outside on a beautiful day with a glass of wine.
