I have been going to Stensland Dental for 5 years. I have always found the staff to be upbeat and friendly. I think... when there is a happy staff, it means they are treated well by the management team/owner. Dr. Stensland is a knowledgeable and skilled dentist. He will not do procedures just to make money and seems to always have the patient’s best interest in mind. They are a bit more expensive with what they charge than other dental offices in the area, but I am willing to pay a little more for the trust, comfort, and peace of mind I have by going to them. I would highly recommend anyone to go to Stensland Dental Studio.read more

I had an exceptional experience today and it was my first visit there. Francine, the hygienist, was FANTASTIC! She was... extremely kind, informative, and professional. She took her time and explained everything step by step. I'm usually extremely nervous at the dentist, even for just a cleaning. I couldn't believe how relaxed I felt and it was because of the way I was treated. The dentist, Steve, was also great! He took a lot of time examining a tooth with cracks and outlined what the next steps were. He even had a few more x-rays taken to really clarify the issue. I left there feeling so relieved that I don't have to dread going to the dentist anymore. I've finally found the best practice and I HIGHLY recommend them! My son just finished his first visit there as well and 100% agreed....this is a phenomenal dental practice with an amazing staff!!! Thank you Francine and Steve!!read more

From being greeted by Anamarie ( she will get your insurance filed, schedule your... appointments or talk to you about Ohio State football) to having your teeth cleaned by the best hygienists, Francine, Whitney and Julia. And did I mention the most awesome part.....Dr Steve and his truly amazing assistants and right hand girls Lisa and Sara! They will get your dental needs taken care of with ease. They are very knowledgeable and will answer your questions all while calming your anxieties.Their state of the art office offers you the most up to date protocol in infection control and personal privacy ( HiPPa). They do the most current dental procedures from implants to fillings and they do it all with a smile on their face. I'd broken a tooth and had another tooth that would need a root canal.Work had been initiated at a different dental... office. It was an excellent office, but I saw a different dentist with each visit. For that reason, I searched reviews and made my appointment with Stensland.When an earlier opening came up, I was contacted immediately.The staff there was cordial and informative. I completed paperwork online to save office time.In repairing the tooth, and later the root canal, I was kept informed of options, and each step of the procedure. I had asked about cost, and was given that information in advance. Dr. Stensland is cordial, professional, highly skilled. My comfort was obviously a priority. Upon completion of the root canal, I was given information and a prescription prior to leaving the office as well as the reassurance of knowing that if problems arise, he will be available. Everything was fine, but it's nice knowing that help is always there.I feel very confident with this practice and intend to refer family and friends. Nothing against other local dental offices - but it's nice getting to know one dentist and to develop trust in the care received. And his staff is friendly, welcoming, caring.read more

Today I had my first appointment with Stensland Dental. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. The staff was... very friendly and the office was modern, clean and relaxing. The Dental Hygienist, Francine was gentle, thorough and extremely knowledgeable! The staff took their time with me and really made me feel comfortable. Then as I was leaving they handed me a cute bag with samples, information on a new cleaning device and a sweet treat from Wythe Candy. After years of being tossed around to different dentists and hygienists within one practice, it's nice to find a "home" with a practice that seems to value their patients experience. Went there after having a bad accident and breaking my front teeth. They’re so amazing. I’ve had such bad experiences... with dentists in the past and this the first time I’ve never been anxious or worried in a practice. I commend Stensland dental for being caring, non-judgmental about my issues, and having such a welcoming warmth I don’t get anywhere else. Highly HIGHLY recommend them. I’ll be back next week for my follow up, but they’re incredibly transparent about cost and will let you know everything prior to doing any sort of procedure. Everything from the very friendly receptionist to the incredibly thorough but gentle hygienist, and finally the... wonderful dentist....everything about this office was just right! I am so very happy to have found Stensland Dental Studio. After moving to Williamsburg in 2017, I tried two previous dentists before asking coworkers what the best dentist in town was. I am really grateful to Dr Stensland and all the staff. I had to go today because one of my crowns came off after... decades from when I lived elsewhere. I appreciate how fast I was called back and how quickly I got into see him. I like the way he provides the education and information. I highly recommend this practice. They are top notch!Previous review: I just had my 6 month checkup and am -- more than pleased - with Julia, my hygienist because of the care she takes to do 100+% -- you are getting the best - no corners cut - and that is true of everyone in the practice - the entire team. I feel very fortunate to have found this practice. Dr. Stensland is terrific. His expertise and the way he relates to patients are excellent - he explains the circumstances and "big picture" concerning your teeth, etc. Very helpful. I highly recommend this practice - everyone from the moment you walk in the door is wonderful.read more
