SDS was a sponsor of the official color throwing station for the Color the Town 5K benefitting the Heritage Humane Society. The race took place in New Town on Saturday October 26, 2013

Dr. Steve and hygienist Francine conquered two Tough Mudder races in Wintergreen, VA and Frederick, MD. The courses featured 27 obstacles designed to test the mudders’ ability to climb walls and cargo nets, crawl through pipes and mud, carry heavy objects and endure heat, cold and electric shocks. The events supported the Wounded Warrior Project.

Team Stensland received “Best Group Costume” in the Run for the Hills 10K supporting Beyond Boobs. Yes, even Dr. Steve Sported a pink tutu for the cause.

Every February (Dental Health Month) is dedicated to teaching preschool and elementary school students the importance of good dental health.

SDS participated in Give Kids a Smile, providing dental care to underserved children in our community. Give Kids a Smile is a program is sponsored by the American Dental Association. Over 8,000 dentists participate to serve over 300,000 children across America each year.

SDS won BEST OVERALL THEME for their Teeth-Rex design in the 2012 Chocolate Chariot Race held in New Town. As part of the annual Chocolate Affair festivities benefitting Eco Discovery Park, the race participants had to eat chocolate at checkpoints along the race path before crossing the finish line.
